Stuart and Louise at Kellow Woodcraft

Hello everyone, our pine furniture business has been growing successfully with each passing year and is still young at around 4 years old. With over 26 years of wood working experience and knowledge we can bring Wood To Life!

In the early years making pine furniture was a hobby and along the way we picked up some great crafting techniques which are still used to this day. Stuart’s love of handmade furniture helped him through some difficult moments in his life and became his therapy as well as a life long passion.

Starting out in Stuart’s Mum and Dads garage with very little space he now wonders how we fitted it all in there – the mind boggles lol. When business began to get busy with the farmhouse tables other opportunities to make different pieces of pine furniture such as chest of drawers, bookcases and toy boxes came along. It was only once we were in our newest workshop someone came to us and asked to design a kitchen larder. It took us seven days to create and finish the first ever bespoke larder unit which has seen improvements since.

After some encouragement Stuart was helped onto the next chapter by his wife Louise towards the next steps in the Kellow Woodcraft Limited story. They became a team to make Kellow Woodcraft into a full time business in a new unit. This was a huge accomplishment for us and took Kellow Woodcraft onto another level where we have handmade larger pieces of furniture and even free standing kitchens.

A lot of skill, time and effort goes into making each individual piece of furniture as it isn’t massed produced with machinery.

Family is very important to us and they have helped and supported us all the way through which we are grateful for. Our employees are very valuable and have created a high standard of quality furniture which is a blessing but can also sometimes be our own worst enemy due to the expectations customers can have of us.

Looking towards the future we hope to expand our business nationwide with more consistency. We hope to be able to design new products which are appealing and keep improving our customer service skills. Our aim is to grow so we are able to employ more people to give them an opportunity to learn our skills.

Every bit of your support is very much appreciated as we are a small business. We will strive to make the best quality furniture at affordable prices. So we will take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you as without you we couldn’t do what we know and love!
